Palissandro e Crema Lucido

‘I personally design every single one of our kitchens to create something exclusive for each client. I look at the floor plan to begin to interpret the space and to start to draw, working out a design that is right for the room. It must be in proportion, without gaps and awkward spaces. So you can see that the island in this room perfectly suits the space, flowing in gentle curves across the room, but interacting with the ceiling-high back wall of cabinetry beautifully, so you don’t need to walk miles to put something in the oven or reach the fridge. Although it is technically very difficult to create an island with concentric circles, all merging into one another, it is the key to the softness and fluid nature of this design and provides plenty of space for convivial entertaining. Real Palissandro veneer is finished with high gloss lacquer, creating rich and warm contrast with the Crema Lucido tall cabinets and seamless Volcanic Stone worktops. The handle-less finish emphasises the curved lines of the design, as do the steel plinths, shape of the Venetian Cracked Ice breakfast bar and the cylindrical extractor. But probably the element that brings the whole room together for me is the ceiling feature, which seems to float across the room with cloud-like softness.’
